Spicy Spaghetti Bolognese

This is a quick and easy, yet nutritious meal! The sauce is fairly mild so everyone will enjoy it, so if you like it spicier like me, add some chillies! Serves 2.

  • 160g Lean minced beef from your local butchers
  • 150g Whole-wheat spaghetti
  • 1 pepper
  • a handful of mushrooms
  • 1 onion
  • chillies I required
  • 1 jar of spicy Bolognese sauce

Heat up a wok or large frying pan, and put in the mince. Put the spaghetti in a pan and pour over boiling water from the kettle. This spaghetti takes around 12 minutes to cook. While the mince is browning, prepare the vegetables by chopping them into hearty pieces. When the mince is cooked, drain off any fat and leave standing in the colander. Put the vegetables in the wok and fry for 2 minutes. Then add the mince back in and pour over the sauce. You should now have the sauce and the pasta ready at the same time in! Drain the pasta in a colander, pour over boiling water to remove any starch, serve, and enjoy!
