Chilli Con Carne


Chilli Con Carne is another simple recipe to make, that is packed full of protein, and really good for warming you up on a winters day!  This recipe serves 2.





  • 250g of Lean Beef mince
  • 1 can of Kidney Beans
  • 1 pepper
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Jar or T.N.T Chilli Cooking Sauce
  • 150g of Rice (white or Brown)

Cooking Instructions


Brown the mince in a wok or large frying pan, while this is cooking start off the rice in a saucepan by pouring enough boiling water over from the kettle and simmer. (Takes 10-12 minutes for white rice, 20-25 for brown). Once the mince is cooked, drain off any fat, and put your chopped pepper and onion in the frying pan or wok and fry for 2 minutes. Drain the kidney beans and add to the vegetables, then add the mince back in and pour over the sauce. Simmer this for another 5 minutes while you wait for your rice to cook. Once the rice is ready, drain in a sieve, and pour over boiling water to remove the starch. Fluff up with a fork, and serve in a large bowl with the chilli! Enjoy!
